Common use of COUNTY RIGHTS Clause in Contracts

COUNTY RIGHTS. It is the exclusive right of the County to direct its employees, take disciplinary action for proper cause, relieve its employees from duty because of lack of work or for other legitimate reason, classify and reclassify positions, and determine the methods, means, and personnel by which the County's operations are to be conducted. The Sheriffs’ Department may conduct psychological fitness for duty evaluations in accordance with the procedure set forth in Exhibit “A” to this Memorandum of Agreement. Nothing contained in this provision shall be deemed to supersede the provisions of existing Federal or State law and the ordinances and rules of the County, which established the Civil Service System.
