Common use of Court Appearances and Conventions Clause in Contracts

Court Appearances and Conventions. (a) Teachers shall be allowed the necessary time off with pay to comply with subpoena for court appearance when such teacher is a party or a witness to an action. The teacher shall make every effort to arrange that the time s/he is required to spend in court shall accommodate her/his teaching schedule. (b) Delegate to Annual Connecticut State AFL-CIO Convention - Two (2) delegates or two (2) alternates - a maximum of two (2) people for the duration of the Convention but not to exceed three (3) days. Such time off will be paid time off.
