Common use of Court Witnesses Clause in Contracts

Court Witnesses. (a) A nurse who is required to testify in a legal proceeding on behalf of the Hospital will be compensated for all time spent in official trial and pretrial discovery proceedings. (b) A nurse who is subpoenaed to appear as a witness in a legal proceeding to which the Hospital is not a party to testify concerning matters involving the nurse’s employment at the Hospital or involving events which took place while performing such duties shall be compensated at straight-time pay during the nurse’s scheduled workday. (c) A nurse who is subpoenaed to appear as a witness concerning matters not directly related to her employment at the Hospital shall be granted a leave without pay.
