Credit for Prior Governmental Service. The Adopting Employer may elect to treat governmental service rendered prior to a Participant's initial employment date or reemployment date as creditable service under the Plan. Subject to any limitations imposed by law, the term "prior governmental service" shall be as defined by the Adopting Employer below. The Employer elects to treat prior governmental service as follows (check one): Prior governmental service is not creditable under the Plan (if checked, skip to Section 13.D. – Unused Sick/Vacation Leave). Prior governmental service shall be counted as Credited Service for the following purposes under the Plan (check one or more as applicable): Computing amount of benefits payable. Meeting minimum service requirements for vesting. Meeting minimum service requirements for benefit eligibility.
