CTE Salary Schedule Movement. a. Upon receiving an acceptable or better evaluation, annual step increases will be granted to instructors who taught at least seventy-five (75%) of the previous school year, exclusive of the summer term. b. Fifteen semester units of course work from an accredited college/university may be applied toward a step increase. Units earned for salary advancement must be approved in advance by the Superintendent. i. “Continuing Education Hours” will be counted at 10% of the actual hours of attendance based upon written verification on official college/university transcript. For salary credit purposes, Continuing Education Hours must be approved in advance by the Superintendent. ii. Career Technical Education instructors must notify the Superintendent’s office by June 1st if they anticipate completing college/university course work, or Continuing Education Hours to be used toward a step change on the salary schedule. An official transcript or official grade card or other official verification of course completion must be submitted to the Superintendent by September 1st to verify all such work. c. Career Technical Education teachers will receive 6.75 hours per regular workday to include preparation time and to compensate for the additional time required of regular unit members before and after school. CTE teachers are required to attend regular staff or department meetings; they will be compensated at the certificated hourly rate.
