Common use of Daily Hire Classifications Clause in Contracts

Daily Hire Classifications. Pursuant to the daily hire classifications in the award casual labour means an employee who is employed for a period of less than five days (exclusive of overtime). In addition to the correct pay rates and allowances prescribed herein for each hour so worked, a casual shall be paid an additional 20 percent of the rate per hour with a minimum payment as for three hours employment. The penalty rate herein prescribed shall be made in lieu of Annual Leave, Public Holidays, and Sick Leave prescribed for other employees in the award.
