Decant Basin Sample Clauses

Decant Basin. The Decant Basin consists of concrete paving of various slopes which drain to the Sump. The various slopes allow the separation of the water from the solids as the material flows towards the Sump. The discharge area is at a slope of 10% to minimize the amount of water and solids flowing under the vehicle discharging. The main portion of the decant basin is sloped at 3% where most of the solids settle onto the concrete surface. The less dense materials and water flow to the Sump.
