DEDUCTIONS FROM SALARY. A. The Borough agrees to deduct from the salaries of its employees, subject to this Agreement, dues from the Association. Such deductions shall be made in compliance with Chapter 123, Public Law of 1974, N.J.S.A. (R.S.) 52:14-15.9e, as amended. B. A check-off shall commence for each employee who signs a properly dated authorization card supplied by the Association and verified by the Borough treasurer during the month following the filing of such card with the Borough. If during the life of this Agreement there shall be any change in the rate of membership dues, the Association shall furnish to the Borough (written notice thirty (30) days prior to the effective date) of such change and shall furnish to the Borough either new authorizations from its members showing the authorized deduction for each employee or an official notification on the letterhead of the Association and signed by the President of the Association advising of such changed deduction. D. The Association will provide the necessary “check-off authorization” forms and the Association will secure the signatures of its members on the forms and deliver the signed forms to the Borough Administrator. E. Any such written authorization may be withdrawn at any time by the filing of notice of such withdrawal with the Borough Administrator. The filing of a notice of withdrawal shall be effective to halt deductions in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e, as amended. F. The Association shall indemnify, defend and save the Borough harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Borough in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards as furnished by the Association to the Borough, or in reliance upon the official notification on the letterhead of the Association and signed by the President of the Association advising of such changed deduction.

Said monies together with records of any corrections shall be transmitted to the UNION office by the fifteenth (15th) day of each month following the monthly pay period in which deductions were made. B. A check-off shall commence for each employee who signs a properly dated authorization card supplied by the Association and verified by the Borough treasurer during the month following the filing of such card with the Borough. C. If during the life of this Agreement Agreement, there shall be any change in the rate of membership dues, the Association UNION shall furnish to the Borough (BOROUGH written notice thirty (30) days prior to the effective date) date of such change and shall furnish to the Borough BOROUGH either new authorizations authorization from its members showing the authorized deduction for each employee or an official notification on of the letterhead of the Association UNION and signed by the President and Secretary- Treasurer of the Association UNION advising of such changed charged deduction. The Association UNION shall indemnify, defend and save the Borough BOROUGH harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits suits, or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Borough BOROUGH in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards as furnished submitted by the Association UNION to the Borough, BOROUGH or in tin reliance upon the official notification on of the letterhead of the Association UNION and signed by the President and Secretary-Treasurer of the Association UNION advising of such changed deduction. D. All employees in the bargaining unit who are not members of the union shall be required to pay a representational fee in lieu of dues for services rendered by the union. E. The representation fee shall be in an amount equivalent to the regular membership dues, initiation fees and assessments charged by the Union to its own members less the cost of benefits financed through the dues, fees and assessments and available to or benefiting only its members, but in no event shall it exceed 85% of the total fee charged to members. F. The Union shall establish and maintain a demand and return system which provides pro rata returns as require by N.J.S.A. 34:13A-5.5 and N.J.S.A. 34:13A-5.6. G. The Union shall be entitled to the representation fee only if membership in the Union is available to all employees in the bargaining unit on an equal basis; and, provided further, that nothing herein shall be deemed to require any employee to become a member of the Union. H. Payment of the representation fee shall be made to the Union during the term of the collective bargaining agreement affecting such non-member employees and during the period, if any, between successive agreements so providing. 1. The Borough shall deduct the representation fee from the wages or salaries of the non-member employees. 2. The Union shall provide to the Borough a list of membership dues, fees and assessments charged its own members, and the cost of any benefits financed therefrom which benefit only members; any change in the list must be reported to the Borough within 15 days of such charges. 3. The deduction process and the transmission of fees to the Union will, as nearly as is efficient and practical for the Borough, be the same as the deduction process and transmission of regular membership dues, fees and assessments to the Union. 4. Obligation to pay the representation fee shall start on the ninetieth day after the beginning of the employees employment in a position included in the bargaining unit.

C. If during the life of this Agreement there shall be any change in the rate of membership dues, the Association shall furnish to the Borough (Township written notice thirty (30) days prior to the effective date) date of such change and shall furnish to the Borough Township either new authorizations from its members showing the authorized deduction for each employee Employee, or an official notification on the letterhead of the Association and signed by the President of the Association advising of such changed deduction.the D. The Association will provide the necessary “check-off authorization” forms form and the Association will secure the signatures of its members on the forms and deliver the signed forms to the Borough AdministratorTownship Clerk. E. Any such written authorization may be withdrawn at any time by the filing of notice of such withdrawal with the Borough AdministratorTownship Clerk. The filing of a notice of withdrawal shall be effective to halt deductions in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e, 15.9e as amended. F. The Township agrees to deduct the fair share fee from the earnings of those Employees who elect not to become members of the Association and transmit the fee to the majority representative. G. The deduction shall commence for each Employee who elects not to become a member of the Association during the month following written notice from the Association of the amount of the fair share assessment. A copy of the written notice of the amount of the fair share assessment must also be furnished to the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission. H. The fair share fee for services rendered by the Association shall be in an amount equal to the regular membership dues, initiation fees and assessments of the Association, less the I. The sum representing the fair share fee shall not reflect the costs of financial support of political causes or candidates, except to the extent that it is necessary for the Association to engage lobbying activity designed to xxxxxx its policy goals in collective bargaining negotiations and contract administration, and to secure for the Employee it represents advances in wages, hours and other conditions of employment which ordinarily cannot be secured through collective negotiations with the Township. X. Xxxxx to January 1 and July 31 of each year, the Association shall provide advance written notice to the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission, the Township and to all Employees within the unit, the information necessary to compute the fair share fee for services enumerated above. K. The Association shall establish and maintain a procedure whereby any Employee can challenge the assessment as computed by the Association. This appeal procedure shall in no way involve the Township or require the Township to take any action other than to hold the fee in escrow pending resolution of the appeal. L. The Association shall indemnify, defend and save the Borough Township harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Borough Township in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards or the fair share assessment information as furnished by the Association to the BoroughTownship, or in reliance upon the official notification on the letterhead of the Association and signed by the President of the Association Association, advising of such changed deduction.

E. Any such written authorization may be withdrawn at any time by the filing of notice of such withdrawal with the Borough AdministratorTownship Personnel Officer. The filing of a notice of withdrawal shall be effective to halt deductions in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e52:14- l5.9e, as amended. F. The Association Union shall indemnify, defend defend, and save the Borough Township harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits suits, or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Borough Township in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards as furnished by the Association Union to the BoroughTownship, or in reliance upon the official notification on the letterhead of the Association Union and signed by the President of the Association Union advising of such changed deduction.

D. The Association will provide the necessary “"check-off authorization” forms " form and the Association will secure the signatures of its members on the forms and deliver the signed forms to the Borough AdministratorTownship Clerk. E. Any such written authorization may be withdrawn at any time by the filing of notice of such withdrawal with the Borough AdministratorTownship Clerk. The filing of a notice of withdrawal shall be effective to halt deductions in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:1451:14-15.9e, 15e as amended. F. Notification - Prior to March 1 of each year, the FMBA will submit to the Township a list of those employees who have either become members of the FMBA for the then current membership year nor paid directly to the FMBA the full amount of the representation fee for the membership year. The Township will deduct from the salaries of such employees, in accordance with Article XXIII Representation Fee, the full amount of the representation fee and promptly will transmit the amount so deducted to the FMBA. G. The Association shall indemnify, defend and save the Borough Township harmless against any and all claims, . demands, suits suits, or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Borough Township in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards as furnished by the Association to the BoroughTownship, or in reliance upon the official notification on the letterhead of the Association and signed by the President president of the Association advising of such changed deduction.

DEDUCTIONS FROM SALARY. A. The Borough Board agrees to deduct from the salaries salary of its the employees, subject to this Agreementdues for the West Windsor-Plainsboro Foremen’s Association, dues from the Mercer County Education Association, the New Jersey Education Association, and the National Education Association. Such deductions shall be made The Board agrees to deduct Association dues in compliance accordance with Chapter 123310, Public Law of 19741967, N.J.S.A. (R.S.) NJSA 52:14-15.9e, and under rule established by the State Department of Education. The Board also agrees, upon request of the employee to make salary deductions for the federal credit union and tax shelter annuity plans as amended. B. A checkshall be made available by the Board. The Board also will make deductions for Washington National Insurance upon request of the employee. Agency Shop Fee – If a xxxxxxx does not become a member of the association during any membership year, which is covered by this agreement, said xxxxxxx will be required to pay a representation fee to the association for the membership year or applicable portion thereof. The representation fee will be deducted, prospective only, beginning July 1. The purpose of this fee will be to offset the employee’s per capita cost of services rendered by the association as a majority representative. As covered by statute, employees may appeal for the recovery of the portion of the fee intended for the aid or activities or causes of a partisan, political, or ideological nature only incidentally related to terms and conditions of employment. Amount of Fee – Prior to the beginning of each membership year, the association will notify the Board in writing, of the amount of the regular membership dues, initiation fees and assessments charged by the association to its members for the membership year. The Association will certify to the Board prior to the start of each membership year the amount of representation fee to be paid by non-off shall commence for each employee who signs a properly dated authorization card supplied members, which will be determined by the Association in accordance with applicable law and verified shall not exceed the maximum amount permitted by law. Certification – Prior to the Borough treasurer during deduction of the month following the filing of such card with the Borough. C. If during the life of this Agreement there shall be representation fee in any change in the rate of membership duesyear, the Association shall furnish will certify to the Borough (written notice thirty (30) days Board in writing that the requirements of applicable laws, including NJAC 19:17-3.1 et seq., have been met. The Association shall also provide to the Board, prior to the effective date) deduction of such change and shall furnish to the Borough either new authorizations from its members showing the authorized deduction for each employee or an official notification on the letterhead representation fees, a copy of the Association demand and signed by return system. Fee for Part-Time Employees – Employees who are employees on a part-time work schedule equal to at least 50% time and who chose not to become association members will pay the President representation fee. Employees who are employed less than 50% time will not be required to pay the fee. Fee for those employed after the start of the Association advising school year – Employees who are employed after January 1 of such changed deduction. D. The Association any year who choose not to become members will provide the necessary “check-off authorization” forms and the Association will secure the signatures of its members on the forms and deliver the signed forms not be required to the Borough Administrator. E. Any such written authorization may be withdrawn at any time by the filing of notice of such withdrawal with the Borough Administratorpay a representation for that year. The filing of a notice of withdrawal shall be effective to halt deductions in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e, as amended. F. The Association shall indemnify, defend indemnify and save hold the Borough employer harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or and other forms of liability, including liability for reasonable counsel fees and other legal costs and expenses, that shall may arise out of of, or by reason of of, any action taken or not taken by the Borough employer in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards as furnished by the Association to the Borough, or in reliance upon the official notification on the letterhead of the Association and signed by the President of the Association advising of such changed deductionconformance with this provision.

DEDUCTIONS FROM SALARY. ‌ A. The Borough Board agrees to deduct from the salaries of its employees, subject to this Agreement, dues from the Sayreville Education Association, a unified Association with its affiliates, as said employees individually and voluntarily authorize the Board to deduct. Such deductions shall be made in compliance with Chapter 123310, Public Law Laws of 1974, 1967 (N.J.S.A. (R.S.) 52:14-15.9e15.9c) and under Rules established by the State Department of Education. Said monies, together with records of any corrections, shall be transmitted to the treasurer of the Sayreville Education Association by the 15th of each month following the monthly pay period in which deductions were made. The Association treasurer shall disburse monies to the appropriate Association or Associations. Employee authorizations shall be in writing as amendedset forth in ADP forms. B. A checkThe Board agrees to deduct from an employee’s salary, money for the tax-off sheltered annuities and to transmit the monies to the SEA designee provided, however, that such monies shall commence for each only be invested in companies financial or insurance, who are properly licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey and who shall agree to furnish the Board with indemnification protection as to such funds transmitted to said SEA designee. Said deposits shall be made twice per month when paychecks are distributed. However, an employee who signs a properly dated authorization card supplied by may make only one alteration in the Association and verified by the Borough treasurer during the month following the filing of such card with the Boroughdeduction denomination per year. The year is defined as September 1 through August 31. C. The Association will provide the necessary “check-off authorization” forms and the Association will secure the signatures of its members on the forms and deliver the signed forms to the Borough Administrator. E. Any such written authorization may be withdrawn at any time by the filing of notice of such withdrawal with the Borough Administrator. The filing of a notice of withdrawal shall be effective to halt deductions in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e, as amended. F. The Association shall indemnify, defend and save the Borough harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Borough in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards as furnished assessments charged by the Association to its own members for the Borough, or in reliance upon the official notification on the letterhead of academic year. The agency fee to be paid by non-members will be determined by the Association in accordance with the law. 2. The Township will deduct from the salaries of such employees, in accordance with Article XXIII Representation Fee, the full amount of the representation fee and promptly will transmit the amount so deducted to the FMBA. G. The Association shall indemnify, defend and save the Borough Township harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits suits, or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Borough Township in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards as furnished by the Association to the BoroughTownship, or in reliance upon the official notification on the letterhead of the Association and signed by the President president of the Association advising of such changed deduction.

The Association shall indemnify, defend defend, and save the Borough Board harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise rise out of or by reason of action taken by the Borough Board in reliance upon salary payroll deduction authorization cards as furnished submitted by the Association to the BoroughBoard. 4. Subject to law, the Board agrees to purchase a tax sheltered annuity on behalf of any teacher who individually and voluntarily agrees to a deduction from his or in reliance upon her salary for such purpose, which tax sheltered annuity program shall be with a company chosen by the official notification on Association. 5. Subject to law, the letterhead Board agrees that any deduction from salary made pursuant to a summer payment plan shall be deposited with Visions Credit Union. 6. Any teacher who is not a member of the Association and signed shall pay a representation fee in lieu of dues for services rendered by the President Association. Such representation fee shall be paid and administered pursuant to the requirements of New Jersey law, and shall be paid in an amount equivalent to the regular membership dues, initiation fees and assessments charged by the Association to its own members, less the cost of benefits financed through the dues, fees and assessments and available to or benefiting only its members, but in no event shall such representation fee exceed the legal maximum of the Association advising of such changed deductionregular membership dues, fees and assessments.

Such deductions shall be made in compliance with Chapter 123, Public Law Laws of 1974, N.J.S.A. (R.S.) 52:14-15.9e, as amended. B. A check-off shall commence for each employee who signs a properly dated authorization card card, supplied by the Association Lodge and verified by the Borough treasurer Township Treasurer, during the month following the filing of such card with the BoroughTownship. C. If during the life of this Agreement there shall be any change in the rate of membership dues, the Association Lodge shall furnish to the Borough (Township written notice thirty (30) days prior to the effective date) date of such change and shall furnish to the Borough Township either new authorizations from its members showing the authorized deduction for each employee employee, or an official notification on the letterhead of the Association Lodge and signed by the President of the Association Lodge advising of such changed deduction. D. The Association Lodge will provide the necessary “check-off authorization” forms form and the Association Lodge will secure the signatures of its members on the forms and deliver the signed forms to the Borough AdministratorTownship Clerk. E. Any such written authorization may be withdrawn at any time by the filing of notice of such withdrawal with the Borough AdministratorTownship Clerk. The filing of a notice of withdrawal shall be effective to halt deductions in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e, as amended. F. The Association Township agrees to deduct the fair share fee from the earnings of those employees who elect not to become members of the Lodge and transmit the fee to the majority representative. G. The deduction shall commence for each employee who elects not to become a member of the Lodge during the month following written notice of the amount of the fair share assessment. A copy of the written notice of the amount of the fair share assessment must also be furnished to the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission. H. The fair share fee for services rendered by the Lodge shall be in an amount equal to the regular membership dues, initiation fees and assessments of the Lodge, less the cost of benefits financed through the dues and available only to member of the Lodge, but in no event shall the fee exceed eighty-five (85%) percent of the regular membership dues, fees and assessments. I. The sum representing the fair share fee shall not reflect the costs of financial support of political causes or candidates, except to the extend that it is necessary for the Lodge to engage in lobbying activity designed to xxxxxx its policy goals in collective negotiations and contract administration, and to secure for the employees it represents advances in wages, hours and other conditions of employment which ordinarily cannot be secured through collective negotiations with the Township. J. Prior to January 1 and July 31 of each year, the Lodge shall provide advance written notice to the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission, the Township and to all employees within the unit, the information necessary to compute the fair share fee for services enumerated above. K. The Lodge shall establish and maintain a procedure whereby any employee can challenge the assessment as computed by the Lodge. This appeal procedure shall in no way involve the Township or require the Township to take any action other than to hold the fee in escrow pending resolution of the appeal. L. The Lodge shall indemnify, defend and save the Borough Township harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Borough Township in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards or the fair share assessment information as furnished by the Association Lodge to the BoroughTownship, or in reliance upon the official notification on the letterhead of the Association Lodge and signed by the President of the Association Lodge, advising of such changed deduction.

DEDUCTIONS FROM SALARY. A. The Borough Township agrees to deduct from the salaries of its employees, subject to this Agreement, dues from for the AssociationLodge. Such deductions shall be made in compliance with Chapter 123, Public Law Laws of 1974, N.J.S.A. (R.S.) 52:14-15.9e, as amended. B. A check-off shall commence for each employee who signs a properly dated authorization card card, supplied by the Association Lodge and verified by the Borough treasurer Township Treasurer, during the month following the filing of such card with the BoroughTownship. C. If during the life of this Agreement there shall be any change in the rate of membership dues, the Association Lodge shall furnish to the Borough (Township written notice thirty (30) days prior to the effective date) date of such change and shall furnish to the Borough Township either new authorizations from its members showing the authorized deduction for each employee employee, or an official notification on the letterhead of the Association Lodge and signed by the President of the Association Lodge advising of such changed deduction. D. The Association Lodge will provide the necessary “"check-off authorization” forms " form and the Association Lodge will secure the signatures of its members on the forms and deliver the signed forms to the Borough AdministratorTownship Clerk. E. Any such written authorization may be withdrawn at any time by the filing of notice of such withdrawal with the Borough AdministratorTownship Clerk. The filing of a notice of withdrawal shall be effective to halt deductions in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e, as amended. F. The Association Township agrees to deduct the fair share fee from the earnings of those employees who elect not to become members of the Lodge and transmit the fee to the majority representative. G. The deduction shall commence for each employee who elects not to become a member of the Lodge during the month following written notice from the Lodge of the amount of the fair share assessment. A copy of the written notice of the amount of the fair share assessment must also be furnished, to the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission. H. The fair share fee for services rendered by the Lodge shall be in an amount equal to the regular membership dues, initiation fees and assessments of the Lodge, less the cost of benefits financed through the dues and available only to members of the Lodge, but in no event shall the fee exceed eighty-five (85%) percent of the regular membership dues, fees and assessments. I. The sum representing the fair share fee shall not reflect the costs of financial support of political causes or candidates, except to the extent that it is necessary for the Lodge to engage in lobbying activity designed to xxxxxx its policy goals in collective negotiations and contract administration, and to secure for the employees it represents advances in wages, hours and other conditions of employment which ordinarily cannot be secured through collective negotiations with the Township. J. Prior to January 1 and July 31 of each year, the Lodge shall provide advance written notice to the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission, the Township and to all employees within the unit, the information necessary to compute the fair share fee for services enumerated above. K. The Lodge shall establish and maintain a procedure whereby any employee can challenge the assessment as computed by the Lodge. DEDUCTIONS FROM SALARY. A. 3.1 The Borough agrees to District shall deduct from the salaries of employees who are members of the Association who request such deduction in writing the amount of membership dues certified by the Association as its employees, subject to this Agreement, dues. Any change in Association dues from shall be made by the AssociationAssociation in writing on or before September 30. Such deductions deduction shall be made in compliance with Chapter 123, Public Law of 1974, N.J.S.A. (R.S.) 52:14-15.9e, as amended. B. Any funds so transmitted shall be used for purposes to be determined by the employee and the Association will secure the signatures of its members on the forms and deliver the signed forms to the Borough Administrator. E. Any credit union so designated. The authorization for such written authorization deductions may be withdrawn by an employee at any time by the upon filing of a written notice of such withdrawal with the Borough AdministratorSuperintendent. The filing of a notice of withdrawal Such deductions shall be effective to halt deductions in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e, such reasonable rules and regulations of the District as amended. F. The Association may be necessary for the exercise of the District's authority and responsibility under this Article. No such deduction shall indemnify, defend and save the Borough harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken be made until 30 days following receipt by the Borough in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards as furnished District of the designation by the Association to the Borough, provided for in this Article. 3.3 The District shall be saved harmless from any liability arising from or in reliance upon the official notification on the letterhead of the Association and signed by the President of the Association advising connection with any deductions from salary made pursuant to this Article. 3.4 The District shall make available payroll deduction for NYSUT member benefit programs for all bargaining unit members. The deduction of such changed deductionspecified amount shall be made in equal installments beginning with the first pay period. Such deductions will be made in a timely fashion as soon after each pay period as is possible. 4.1 Sick Leave

DEDUCTIONS FROM SALARY. A. The Borough agrees to deduct the Union monthly membership dues from the salaries of its employees, subject to those employees covered by this Agreement, dues from the AssociationAgreement who individually request in writing that such deductions be made. Such deductions shall be made in compliance accordance with Chapter 123applicable state statute. Said monies shall be transmitted to the Treasurer of the Union, Public Law together with a list of 1974, N.J.S.A. names of all employees for whom the deductions were made by the fifteenth (R.S.15th) 52:14-15.9e, as amendedday of each month of the succeeding month after the deductions were made. B. A check-off shall commence for each employee who signs a properly dated authorization card supplied by the Association and verified by the Borough treasurer during the month following the filing of such card with the Borough. C. If If, during the life of this Agreement the Agreement, there shall be any change in the rate of membership dues, the Association Union shall furnish to the Borough (Payroll Clerk written notice thirty (30) days prior to the effective date) date of such change and shall furnish to the Borough either new authorizations from its members showing the authorized deduction for each employee or an official notification on the letterhead of the Association and signed by the President of the Association advising of such changed deductionsaid change. D. C. The Association Union will provide the necessary “check-off authorization” forms and the Association will secure the signatures of its members on the forms form and deliver the signed forms form to the Borough Administrator. E. Any such written authorization may be withdrawn at any time by the filing of notice of such withdrawal with the Borough AdministratorPayroll Clerk. The filing of a notice of withdrawal shall be effective to halt deductions in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e, as amended. F. The Association Union shall indemnify, defend and save the Borough harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Borough in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards as furnished submitted by the Association Union to the Borough, or in reliance upon if the official notification on the letterhead conditions of the Association and signed dues deduction cards have been met by the President Borough. D. In the event that a pay period is missed by an employee for any reason, except termination of employment, then such deduction shall be made from the next pay period worked and so remitted. E. If there is any alternation in list of names of persons from whom dues are deducted, whether said alteration is an increase or a decrease in the number or amount of deduction, for any reason, the Union shall be notified by mail, at United Public Service Employees Union, at 0000 Xxxxxxxx Xxxxxxx, Xxxxx X, Xxxxxxxxxx, XX 00000, of the Association advising name of such changed deductionthe person and the reason for the said alteration.

Any employee in the bargaining unit on the effective date of this Agreement who does not join the union within thirty (30) days thereafter or any new employee who does not join within ninety (90) days of initial employment within the unit, and any employee previously employed within the Unit who does not join within ten (10) days of re-entry of employment into the Unit shall, as a condition of employment, pay a Representation Fee to the Union by automatic payroll deduction. The Representation Fee shall be in the amount equal to eighty-five percent (85%) of the regular union dues, fees and assessments as certified by the Union to the Township. C. If during the life of this Agreement there shall be any change in the rate of membership dues, the Association Union shall furnish to the Borough (Township written notice thirty (30) days prior to the effective date) date of such change and shall furnish to the Borough Township either new authorizations from its members showing the authorized deduction for each employee or an official notification on the letterhead of the Association Union and signed by the President of the Association Union advising of such changed deduction. The Union will supply the Township with the address to forward dues to. D. The Association Union will provide the necessary “"check-off authorization” " forms and the Association Union will secure the signatures of its members on the forms and deliver the signed forms to the Borough Business Administrator. E. Any such written authorization may be withdrawn at any time by the filing of notice of such withdrawal with the Borough Business Administrator. The filing of a notice of withdrawal shall be effective to halt deductions in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e, as amended. F. The Association Union shall indemnify, defend and save the Borough Township harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Borough Township in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards as furnished by the Association to the BoroughTownship, or in reliance upon the official notification on the letterhead of the Association Union and signed by the President of the Association Union advising of such changed deduction.

DEDUCTIONS FROM SALARY. A. The Borough Township agrees to deduct from the salaries of its employees, subject to this Agreement, dues from to the AssociationFOP. Such deductions shall be made in compliance with Chapter 123, Public Law of 1974, N.J.S.A. (R.S.) 52:14-15.9e, l5.9e as amended. B. A check-off shall commence for each prospectively promoted employee who signs a properly dated authorization card card, supplied by the Association FOP and verified by the Borough treasurer Township treasurer, during the month following the filing of such card with the BoroughTownship. C. If during the life of this Agreement there shall be any change in the rate of membership dues, the Association FOP shall furnish to the Borough (Township written notice thirty (30) days prior to the effective date) date of such change and shall furnish to the Borough Township either new authorizations from its members showing the authorized deduction for each employee employee, or an official notification on the letterhead of the Association and FOP, signed by the President president of the Association FOP, advising of such changed deduction. D. The Association FOP will provide the necessary “check-off authorization” forms form and the Association FOP will secure the signatures of its members on the forms and deliver the signed forms to the Borough AdministratorTownship Manager. E. Any such written authorization may be withdrawn at any time consistent with applicable law by the filing of notice of such withdrawal with the Borough AdministratorTownship Manager. The filing of a notice of withdrawal shall be effective to halt deductions in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e, l5.9e as amended. F. The Association FOP shall indemnify, defend defend, and save the Borough Township harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Borough Township in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards cards, as furnished by the Association FOP to the BoroughTownship, or in reliance upon the official notification on the letterhead of the Association FOP and signed by the President president of the Association FOP advising of such changed deduction.

DEDUCTIONS FROM SALARY. A. The Borough Board agrees to deduct from the salaries of its employeesemployees dues for the Bernards Township Education Association, subject to this AgreementSomerset County Education Association, dues from the New Jersey Education Association, and the National Education Association. Such deductions shall be made in compliance with Chapter 123310, Public Law Laws of 1974, N.J.S.A. 1967 (R.S.) NJSA 52:14-15.9e, as amended) and under rules established by the State Department of Education. B. A check-off Said monies and pertinent documentation shall commence be transmitted directly to NJEA for each employee who signs a properly dated authorization card supplied disbursement to the appropriate associations by the Association and verified by the Borough treasurer during 15th of the month following of the filing of such card with current pay period. The Association Membership Chairperson shall keep membership records up to date and shall convey the Boroughinformation to the Board Office. C. If during the life Employees may individually elect to have a percentage of this Agreement there their monthly salary deducted from their pay. These deductions shall be any change in the rate of membership dues, the Association shall furnish transferred to the Borough (written notice thirty (30) days credit union. To be eligible for this "Summer Payment Plan," employees must be members of the credit union. Arrangements must be made with the Board Secretary by June 30 prior to the effective date) of such change and shall furnish to affected school year. This program will be the Borough either new authorizations from its members showing the authorized deduction for each employee or an official notification on the letterhead of the Association and signed only "Summer Payment Plan" offered by the President of the Association advising of such changed deductiondistrict. D. The Association will provide Employees may individually elect to have a designated sum of money deducted from their pay for a tax-sheltered annuity. These funds shall be paid by the necessary “check-off authorization” forms Board Secretary to the carrier of the plan designated by the Association, provided that a minimum of five persons elect to participate and the Association will secure the signatures of its members on the forms and deliver the signed forms to the Borough Administratorplan is administered in accordance with Internal Revenue Service Guidelines. E. Any such written authorization Employees may individually elect to have a designated sum of money deducted from their pay for a Prudential Insurance Company plan. These funds shall be withdrawn at any time paid by the filing of notice of such withdrawal with Board Secretary to the Borough Administrator. The filing of a notice of withdrawal shall be effective to halt deductions in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e, as amendedcarrier. F. The Association All monies deducted voluntarily for deposit in the credit and/or tax-sheltered annuity shall indemnify, defend and save the Borough harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken be deposited promptly by the Borough in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards as furnished by the Association to the Borough, or in reliance upon the official notification on the letterhead close of the Association and signed by the President pay period. G. Employees may elect to have a sum of the Association advising of such changed deductionmoney deducted from their pay for continued dental insurance coverage as set forth in Article XVII.

DEDUCTIONS FROM SALARY. A. The Borough County agrees to deduct from the salaries of its employees, subject to this Agreement, dues from for the AssociationAmerican Federation of State County and Municipal Employees - AFL-CIO-AFSCME Council 71, so long as that Union shall be the duly certified bargaining representative of the employees hereunder. Such deductions shall be made in compliance with Chapter 123, Public Law Laws of 1974, N.J.S.A. (R.S.) 52:14-15.9e15, 94 as amended, and members shall be eligible to withdraw such authority during July of each year. B. A check-off Dues deductions shall commence for each employee who signs a properly dated authorization card supplied by the Association Union and verified by the Borough treasurer Treasurer of the Union during the month following the filing of such card with the BoroughCounty. C. The aggregate deductions from all employees shall be remitted to the Treasurer of the Union together with the list of the names of all employees from whom the deductions were made by the fifteenth (15th) day of the succeeding month after such deductions were made. D. If during the life of this Agreement there shall be any change in the rate of membership dues, the Association Union shall furnish to the Borough (County written notice thirty (30) calendar days prior to the effective date) date of such change and shall furnish to the Borough either new authorizations from its members showing the authorized deduction for each employee or an County official notification on the letterhead of the Association Union and signed by the President of the Association Union advising of such changed deduction. D. E. The Association Union will provide the necessary “check"Check-off authorization” Authorization" forms and the Association Union will secure the signatures of its members on the forms and deliver the signed forms to the Borough AdministratorCounty Personnel Officer. E. Any such written authorization may be withdrawn at any time F. In addition to the Check-Off Dues Deduction provided for above, pursuant to Assembly Xxxx #688 enacted into law on or about February 28, 1980, effective the first full pay period following issuance by the filing County of notice retroactive pay due hereunder, the County agrees to deduct from the salaries of such withdrawal with its employees subject to this Agreement but not members of the Borough AdministratorUnion a representative fee in lieu of dues for services rendered by the majority representative, in an amount equal to eighty-five (85%) percent of the regular membership dues, fees and assessments paid by the members of the Union, less the cost of benefits financed through the dues and assessments and available to and benefiting only members of the Union. The filing of a notice of withdrawal Such deductions shall be effective to halt deductions made in accordance compliance with Chapter 310, Public Laws of 1967, N.J.S.A. (R.S.) 52:14-15.9e15.9(e), as amended. Said monies, together with records of any corrections, shall be transmitted to the Union Office by the fifteenth (15th) of each month following the monthly pay period in which deductions were made. F. G. The Association Union shall indemnify, defend and save the Borough County harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Borough County in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards as furnished submitted by the Association Union to the BoroughCounty or resulting from the County's deduction and payment to the Union of its representation fee in lieu of dues as provided for above. H. In the monthly report to the Union office specified in Paragraph C above, or in reliance upon the official notification on County shall provide, inter alia, the letterhead following: 1. A list of all employees terminating their employment during the Association and signed by previous thirty (30) days. 2. A list of all employees commencing a leave of absence during the President of the Association advising of such changed deductionprevious thirty (30) days.

DEDUCTIONS FROM SALARY. A. The Borough Board agrees to deduct from the salaries salary of its employees, subject to this Agreementthe employee, dues from for the West Windsor- Plainsboro Foremen's Association, the Xxxxxx County Education Association, the New Jersey Education Association, and the National Education Association. Such deductions shall be made The Board agrees to deduct association dues in compliance accordance with Chapter 123310, Public Law of 19741967, N.J.S.A. (R.S.) NJSA 52:14-15.9e15,9e, and under rule established by the State Department of Education. The Board also agrees, upon request of the employee to make salary deductions for the federal credit union and tax shelter annuity plans as amended. B. A checkshall be made available by the Board. The Board also will make deductions for Washington National Insurance upon request of the employee. Agency Shop Fee - If an employee does not become a member of the association during any membership year, which is covered by this agreement, said employee will be required to pay a representation fee to the association for the membership year or applicable portion thereof. The representation fee will be deducted, prospective only, beginning July 1. The purpose of this fee will be to offset the employee's per capita cost of services rendered by the association as a majority representative. As covered by statue, employees may appeal for the recovery of the portion of the fee intended for the aid or activities or causes of a partisan, political, or ideological nature only incidentally related to terms and conditions of employment. Amount of Fee - Prior to the beginning of each membership year, the association will notify the Board, in writing, of the amount of the regular membership dues, initiation fees and assessments charged by the association to its members for the membership year. The Association will certify to the Board prior to the start of each membership year the amount of representation fee to be paid by non-off shall commence for each employee who signs a properly dated authorization card supplied members, which will be determined by the Association in accordance with applicable law and verified shall not exceed the maximum amount permitted by law. Certification - Prior to the Borough treasurer during deduction of the month following the filing of such card with the Borough. C. If during the life of this Agreement there shall be representation fee in any change in the rate of membership duesyear, the Association shall furnish will certify to the Borough (written notice thirty (30) days Board in writing that the requirements of applicable laws, including NJAC 19:17-3.1 et seq., have been met. The Association shall also provide to the Board, prior to the effective date) deduction of such change and shall furnish to the Borough either new authorizations from its members showing the authorized deduction for each employee or an official notification on the letterhead representation fees, a copy of the Association demand and signed by return system. Fee for Part-Time Employees - Employees who are employed on a part-time work schedule equal to at least 50% time and who choose not to become association members will pay the President representation fee. Employees who are employed less than 50% time will not be required to pay the fee. Fee for those employed after the start of the Association advising school year - Employees who are employed after January 1 of such changed deduction. D. The Association any year who choose not to become members will provide the necessary “check-off authorization” forms and the Association will secure the signatures of its members on the forms and deliver the signed forms not be required to the Borough Administrator. E. Any such written authorization may be withdrawn at any time by the filing of notice of such withdrawal with the Borough Administratorpay a representation for that year. The filing of a notice of withdrawal shall be effective to halt deductions in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52:14-15.9e, as amended. F. The Association shall indemnify, defend indemnify and save hold the Borough employer harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or and other forms of liability, including liability for reasonable counsel fees and other legal costs and expenses, that shall may arise out of of, or by reason of of, any action taken or not taken by the Borough employer in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards as furnished by the Association to the Borough, or in reliance upon the official notification on the letterhead of the Association and signed by the President of the Association advising of such changed deductionconformance with this provision.
