Common use of Definition of a Day Clause in Contracts

Definition of a Day. 14 A day shall mean a period of twenty-four (24) hours measured from the employee’s normal 15 starting time. This provision shall not be applicable when an employee is assigned from one 16 shift to another, pursuant to Section 3.25. The Association agrees that normal daily starting 17 times that vary within an established shift shall not incur a liability for overtime.
