Common use of Definition of an Emergency Call Back Clause in Contracts

Definition of an Emergency Call Back. A Call Back shall be defined as a circumstance where an employee has left the work premises at the completion of their regular work shift and is required to report back to work prior to the start of their next regularly scheduled work shift. An employee who is called back to report to work before the commencement of their regular work shift shall be compensated in accordance with the Call Back provisions of this Labor Agreement; provided, however, that in the event they are called back to report to work within two (2) hours from the starting time of their next regularly scheduled work shift, they shall be compensated at the overtime rate of pay for only those hours immediately preceding the start of their next regularly scheduled work shift, and the Call Back provision shall not apply.
