Definition of Remote Area. For the purposes of this Agreement, a Remote Area is defined as a place that is characterised as having very restricted/very little accessibility of goods, services and opportunity for relevant health professional interaction. Key considerations include lack of access to a resident medical practitioner and restrictions in access to medical practitioners and other relevant medical professionals and other services at other locations. For the purposes of this clause, a Health Worker who works in a Remote Area as defined in this Agreement, will be referred to as a Remote Area Health Worker.
