Departmental Committees. i. A promotion committee shall be established at the department level by the Chair, in consultation with the department’s faculty and the college Xxxx. ii. The Chair shall determine the size of the committee, and it will be composed of faculty members of the department of similar or higher ranks. iii. In a department with few available faculty, the committee may include faculty of other departments, but shall not include the Chair. iv. The Department Chair will initially chair the committee to assist in committee organization; however, once it is organized, the Department Chair will withdraw and the committee shall meet, consider and review as an individual body.
