Curriculum Committee. The Curriculum Committee shall consist of sixteen (16) members of the bargaining unit, three (3) students, and three (3) administrators; provided, however, that in the case of the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, the Curriculum Committee shall be composed of ten (10) members of the bargaining unit, two (2) students, and two (2) administrators.

Their responsibility is to review and evaluate suggested resources, using board of education criteria and make recommendations to the principal. The principal shall review the recommendations and, if necessary, the materials or platform/app, and submit the recommendations to the Executive Director of Instructional Services. The Executive Director of Instructional Services will then review recommendations, and either review refer them back to the principal or approve their use.

Curriculum Committee. After receiving from the All-University Committee any recommendation submitted by any Department Chair or by any member of the university community, the Curriculum Committee, after consultation with any appropriate department or departments, shall from time to time prepare and transmit to the Vice President reports and recommendations with respect to the general coordination and improvement of the University’s academic program. In carrying out this charge, the committee shall evaluate and make recommendations concerning the following:
Curriculum Committee. The Curriculum Committee for input in changes in the curriculum will consist of the teacher from the department being changed, an elementary, secondary and one administrator. The administrator will select the elementary and secondary teacher for the committee. All members of this curriculum committee shall be staff members or perspective staff members. A suggested committee of an elementary, secondary teacher and an administrator will be formed to write curriculum. A stipend for curriculum writing team will be budgeted up to five teachers at $12.50 an hour for max. of 30 hours during the summer. If there is a conflict for summer writing time alternate times may be arranged. Up to 8 hours of required in-service for curriculum writing may be used.
Curriculum Committee i. A curriculum team will be formed to determine and evaluate the curriculum process for the year. This committee will be composed of the principal, counselor, and 2-3 teachers (WASC leadership team) who would be selected by a nomination and election process. The committee would decide curriculum teams, curriculum to be developed and oversee the curriculum writing progress during the school year. The team will also determine the curriculum projects and the funding that will be necessary to develop and complete during the summer. ii. Teachers who are interested in writing new curriculum will submit a proposal to the team for review and will be expected to meet with the team on a monthly basis to review progress.
