Description of test. 7.4.1.1.1. Principle The rotation-inducing forces caused by projections on the helmet and friction against the outer surface of the helmet which occur when a helmeted headform is dropped vertically on to an inclined anvil are measured in the longitudinal axis of the anvil. The peak force and its integral with respect to time over the duration of the positive impulse are used as performance criteria.
