Common use of DISCHARGE AND SUSPENSION GRIEVANCE Clause in Contracts

DISCHARGE AND SUSPENSION GRIEVANCE. A claim by an employee, other than a probationary employee, that he/she has been unjustly discharged or suspended may be treated under the Grievance Procedure if a written statement of such grievance is lodged with the Associate Vice-President, Human Resources and Organizational Development, within five (5) working days after the discharge or suspension. Such grievance shall be initiated at Step 2.
