Disciplinary Process. The College will not dismiss or reduce the compensation of any professor without sufficient cause. The College agrees to follow a formal policy of progressive discipline outlined below. The College may bypass steps if the nature of the misconduct is severe, the faculty member has been the subject of prior discipline, or the faculty member is significantly disruptive to the educational process. The College will be required to justify and document the decision to bypass steps. The College will not be required to apply the progressive discipline process where the nature of the misconduct is of an extreme nature as discussed in section 11.
