DISTRICT CALENDAR. The Superintendent of Schools will form a calendar committee consisting of representatives from the following categories: elementary teacher, secondary teacher, administrator, patron and school board member. One of the teachers could represent the SSEA.
DISTRICT CALENDAR. It was agreed and recommended that the teachers and administrative staff work closely together to ensure a detailed and workable district calendar to minimize conflicts.
DISTRICT CALENDAR. 20-1 The superintendent shall preview the school year calendar with the BEA president by February 1st. Newly employed licensed teachers will be placed at step 1 through 13. Newly hired certified employees participating in an alternative license or authorization program will be placed on step A. New certified employees hired before the beginning of the school year will receive up to an additional five (4) days of salary for an extended day contract. Salary amounts are based on 162.5 days. Minimal expectations for earning stipends are as follows: Provide leadership to department by monitoring and managing budget and other resources; hold and facilitate department meetings; serve as liaison between principal and department; support new hires within department; support the development and actualization of curricular frames. CTE teachers who fulfill the experience requirements will be paid in the following manner: Position CTE Program Lead Teacher (At least 50% of classes and Lead CTSO Sponsor) CTE Program Assistant (At least 50% of classes or less than 50% AND Lead CTSO sponsor) Part Time CTE teacher (20%-49% of classes) Qualified CTE Teacher (Less than 20% of classes or at least 1 Class) $5,147.64 $4,134.64 (new) $1,560.82 $767.29 The CTE Program Lead Teacher is a full time teacher whose teaching assignment is at least 50% in an approved CTE program, or a CTE teacher whose teaching assignment is at least 50% in an approved CTE program who oversees other CTE Teachers in the same pathway. The CTE Program Lead is the responsible party for the completion of the Program Approval, leads their respective Career and Technical Student Organization and guides the overall work on the Advisory Board. This also includes follow up requirements and all related work that may arise as a result of the state's guidelines for program approval and/or other related data. The CTE Program Assistant is designed for all pathways who have multiple full time CTE teachers (Full time CTE teacher, teaching at least 50% in an approved CTE program), in their pathway. A CTE Program Assistant duties would include assisting the CTE Program Lead with the program approvals, operations of the CTSOs and Advisory Boards. If a qualified CTE teacher is teaching less than 50% but they serve as the Lead CTSO sponsor, they can receive the CTE Program Assistant Stipend. DISTRICT CALENDAR. 4-7-1 A calendar for the School Year is adopted by the Board, which includes 180 teaching days and requires an Educator’s services to be available as outlined by the District’s annual calendar. During the first year of service in the District, attendance at New Educator Induction is also required. Additional days may be added depending on availability of funding and, if so, expectations outlined throughout this agreement would apply. It is recognized that the Board may revise an adopted calendar per State and District requirements. However, it is anticipated that this will be done after consultation with the Association. The contract specifies the terms of employment for all Educators.

DISTRICT CALENDAR. The Executive Committee of the Association shall meet with the Superintendent to comment on the proposed school calendar prior to the final action by the Board of Education.
DISTRICT CALENDAR. Faculty Non-Instructional Days (Research and Professional Development Days)
DISTRICT CALENDAR. The District calendar must effectively serve students and further the mission of the District. It shall be the responsibility of the District Calendar Committee to determine the number and types of days needed for the academic year, including Summer quarter, with respect to: instructional advising, in-service, and planning days. The Calendar Committee shall take into account scheduling of District events occurring on those dates when students are not in classes. The purpose of the District Calendar Committee shall be to prepare an academic calendar for the next year which shall be a part of this contract Agreement. Committee membership shall include as voting members: A. One (1) Full-time Faculty member from each instructional division and one (1) Part-time Faculty member. B. The Student Body Presidents or designees. ▇. ▇▇▇ (6) members including one representing sites and one representing District Administration, all appointed by the Chancellor. D. The ▇▇▇▇▇▇ College Federation of Teachers President or designee. The Committee shall be chaired by the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ College Federation of Teachers President or designee. The Committee will begin meeting no later than January. The PCFT President will make the request to the Chancellor to select the Committee members for whom the Chancellor is responsible and to identify support for the Committee. The Calendar Committee will present a proposed calendar to the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ College Federation of Teachers Executive Board and to the District Executive Committee for review and input prior to submitting to the Chancellor for recommendation and submission to the Board for approval at the April Board meeting.
DISTRICT CALENDAR. All teachers who are party to this agreement will be given an opportunity each year to participate in the consideration, formulation and recommendation of a district calendar for the next school year to the Board. The Board retains full authority in regards to the process, establishment and approval of the district calendar for a school year. The number of total teacher contract hours in the district calendar is subject to negotiation and ratification but the district calendar for the school shall always include: • A negotiated number of total Student Instruction hours (not to exceed 1 instructional day total hours in excess of the KSDE-required instructional hours total) • A negotiated number of total Inservice hours • At least one (1) 6.5 hour Inservice Day between January 1 and March 1 • A negotiated number of total Teacher Workday hours • A negotiated number of total Parent-Teacher Conference hours • Negotiated duty free 6.5 hours Teacher Workday at the end of each semester, • A negotiated number of total Teacher Contract Hours as stated annually in Article IV, Section 10B
