District's Actions. The Superintendent/President shall present the employment recommendation to the Board of Trustees. Based upon the employment recommendation of the Individual Tenure Review Committee, the appropriate Vice President, the Superintendent/President and in accordance with California Education Code §87608.5, the governing board shall elect one of the following options prior to March 15: a. not to enter into a contract for the following academic year; b. to enter into a third contract for the following two academic years, continuing the faculty member’s status as probationary; c. to employ the candidate as a tenured employee for all subsequent academic years.
