Common use of Documented Verbal Counseling Clause in Contracts

Documented Verbal Counseling. A documented verbal counseling addressed to an employee by his/her supervisor as to the propriety of an employee’s action(s) or inaction(s). A documented verbal counseling may be documented for future reference and placed in the employee’s personnel file; however, the documented verbal counseling will be removed if requested by the employee six (6) months from the date of the documented verbal counseling if there has been no recurrence of similar conduct since the documented verbal counseling was issued.
