Common use of Drugs and Alcohol Clause in Contracts

Drugs and Alcohol. While on duty no employee shall consume or use alcohol, intoxicants, narcotics, or controlled substances in any form. Similarly, no employee shall report for work under the influence of intoxicants, narcotics or controlled substances in any form. The provisions of this section shall not apply to circumstances in which the alcohol, intoxicants, narcotics, or controlled substances are being taken as prescribed by a licensed medical professional, provided that said substances do not impede the employee’s ability to perform his/her normal job functions.
