Common use of Dues Cancellation Clause in Contracts

Dues Cancellation. ‌ Employees may cancel their payroll deduction by written notice to the Employer and the Union in accordance with the terms and conditions of their signed payroll deduction authorization card. The cancellation will become effective on the second payroll after receipt of the confirmation from the Union that the terms of the employee’s signed payroll deduction authorization card regarding cancellation have been met. Teamsters Local 117 will enforce the year-to-year maintenance of dues requirement only for those employees who signed one (1) of the payroll deduction authorization cards entitled:
