Student Course Evaluations. A properly constructed questionnaire for student evaluation of academic courses is only one source of information regarding student opinion and degree of satisfaction.
Student Course Evaluations. Departments/programs shall develop and maintain survey instruments that are appropriate to their academic disciplines, with assistance from the Instructional Development Centre. These instruments (Student Course Evaluations) will be made available to students during the final two weeks of all classes, with the exception of those classes that are exempt by decanal approval (e.g reading courses, thesis courses).
Student Course Evaluations. All Lecturer Faculty shall be evaluated in each section of each course. Colleges and departments should be clear about the role of student evaluations in the overall assessment of Lecturer Faculty teaching.
Student Course Evaluations. A. The student course evaluation forms include: • a section common to all evaluations institution-wide, soliciting both quantifiable and qualitative feedback on mandatory topics that are meaningful across the divisions and disciplines (required); • a section specific to divisions/departments and their goals, developed by divisions/departments (optional); • a section for individual faculty to add their own topics/questions to solicit feedback specific to individual courses (optional);
B. Divisions/departments and individuals can revise their sections of the form for the good of soliciting meaningful student feedback. Revisions to the institution-wide section of the evaluation form must be approved by the Division Chairs and the Vice President for Instruction.

Student Course Evaluations will be made available to students during the final two weeks of all classes, with the exception of those classes that are exempt by decanal approval (e.g. reading courses, thesis courses).
VII.13.2 Members shall not be present when the students complete the course evaluations, and the surveys shall not be transmitted to the department by the member. Administrative assistants of departments shall count, record, and number the surveys transmitted for each course. Members may elect to conduct the survey instrument online. Student Course Evaluations are for the confidential information of that member except as noted in VII.13.3, where otherwise required to be submitted by this agreement or, in other cases, at the member's discretion
VII.13.3 Once completed, and following the release of final grades for the course, such surveys shall be made available in confidence to the member, the Department Chair and the Xxxx.
VII.13.4 Each member's Student Course Evaluations shall be retained by the Department. Surveys conducted in a paper format shall be scanned by the Department and retained in electronic format, with the original paper copies returned to the member.

1.2 The form and content of such a questionnaire shall be approved by Senate.
1.3 A system for the administration and use of such a Senate approved questionnaire shall be developed.
1.4 No other questionnaire may be introduced or used without the approval of the University and the StFXAUT.
1.5 A questionnaire that has not received the approval of the University and the StFXAUT may not be used as a formal evaluative tool of teaching performance.
Student Course Evaluations. Student course evaluations will not be used as the exclusive basis for evaluating an employee’s performance.
Student Course Evaluations. During Winter and Spring 2021 faculty will continue to provide opportunities for students to complete evaluation for all sections. However, due to the continued disruptions caused by the Covid-19 health crisis, inclusion of these evaluations in teaching portfolios of all faculty (NonTenure Track, Tenure-Track and Tenured) for annual review, probationary review, tenure and promotion, and post-tenure review remains optional. Evaluations that are included in teaching portfolios will have no negative impact on the outcome of the review in light of the most exceptional conditions under which they were conducted. Student Course Evaluations. The College will have the discretion of conducting student course evaluations via face-to-face, virtual, or online mode. Effective September 1, 2021, each unit member shall be compensated a $50.00 per credit per student for every Independent Study (IS) course successfully taught. Student Course Evaluations. 1. Student evaluations will be conducted in accordance with University policy. Adjunct faculty members shall cooperate with the appropriate academic administrators to facilitate the student evaluation process.
2. Student evaluations, including quantitative results and student comments, will be made available to the adjunct faculty member through the online Course Evaluation system following the end of the semester, once all grades are submitted for the course.
3. In addition to student evaluations, the adjunct faculty member may request feedback from the University and/or a classroom observation in accordance with paragraphs C and D below, which the University shall consider in evaluating the adjunct faculty member’s performance.
