DURATION OF CONTRACT & DATES OF OCCUPANCY. This Contract is effective upon the University’s acceptance of application for on-campus housing. It is binding for the entire academic year or that portion of the academic year remaining when occupancy begins. The Resident, except under the conditions listed under Cancellations and Contract Release, cannot terminate this Contract. Failure to officially check-in does not release a student from the financial obligations for on- campus housing. Similarly, not returning midyear does not release a student from the remainder of the Contract. An additional charge will be assessed for residents who live in housing outside the established occupancy periods. Students who cancel their Spring 2021 housing must vacate their Fall 2021 assignment by December 20, 2021.

The occupancy period for all other residents begins on August 26, 2023 and ends on December 18, 2023 for the Fall 2023 semester. Residents who will not return to their space for Spring 2024 are expected to vacate their assignments and return their keys by December 18, 2023. For the Spring 2024 semester, the occupancy period for all residents begins on January 14, 2024 and concludes on May 6, 2024. 3.2.2 University Farm Houses: The occupancy period for the University Farm Houses, Birch Cottage and Oak Cottage, begins on August 26, 2023 and concludes on May 6, 2024. Residents who will not return to their space for Spring 2024 are expected to vacate their assignments and return their keys by December 18, 2023.

  • Certificate of Occupancy The Contractor’s obligation under the Contract is to install the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents, obtain the Certificate of Occupancy from the State Fire Marshal or his deputy, and forward it to the Design Professional as a part of the final close out procedures. The Design Professional’s obligation is to design the Work to comply with the applicable codes and to qualify for a Certificate of Occupancy.

  • Substantial Completion 9.8.1 When the Contractor considers that the Work, or a designated portion thereof which has been accepted in writing to by the State, is substantially complete as defined in Subparagraph

  • Maximum Occupancy No more than two (2) guests per one (1) resident (who is present) are permitted in a student room/suite/apartment at any given time unless otherwise approved by the University (Residential Life).
