Duration of Final Promotion List. A final promotion list shall be effective for a period of three (3) years from the date of its posting. The City shall take all necessary steps to ensure that the Board of Fire and Police Commission maintains in effect a current eligibility list so that promotion to Fire Lieutenant vacancies are filled not later than 180 days after the occurrence of the vacancy.
