Common use of Duress Clause in Contracts

Duress. You cannot hold us liable or responsible for any loss you suffer or may suffer in connection with any card transaction where it is proven that or, you claim that, the merchant had forced, coerced or pressured you in any way to effect the card transaction, even if we have been advised of the possibility of the loss. If you have any complaint against any merchant in this regard, you shall resolve such dispute with the merchant directly; your liability owing to us will not be affected by such dispute or any counterclaim or right of set-off which you may have against such merchant. Your rights under this agreement are not to be assigned or otherwise disposed of.
