Common use of During Extended Medical Leave Clause in Contracts

During Extended Medical Leave. vacation and study leave does not accrue. The Congregation will continue to make its contributions toward all employee benefit payments (health, dental, life, long term disability, retirement, and payment-in-lieu-of FICA) as otherwise provided by this Agreement, and no less than 75 percent of the minister’s salary and housing allowance. If the Minister recovers and is able to return to work full-time before the earlier of the 90-day period of Extended Medical Leave or the commencement of long term disability benefits, the Congregation will retroactively pay the Minister the difference between 100 percent of salary, housing, payment-in-lieu-of-FICA, and retirement contribution and the amount already paid.23
