EARLY NOTIFICATION STIPEND. An eligible teacher who notifies the district prior to March 1st of a school year in writing of his/her intent to resign between June 30th and August 31st and in fact acts upon that intention as described below, shall receive a one-time payment of $2000 paid directly into the teacher’s 403b fund to be paid at the same time that the teacher receives his/her last paycheck. The teacher must meet the following qualification requirements:
EARLY NOTIFICATION STIPEND. If a teacher applies for any qualifying KPERS retirement by giving early written notice to the Clerk of the Board, the Board of Education agrees to pay a one-time stipend: $1,250.00 if the employee notifies on, or before, December 1, or $1,000.00 if the employee notifies on, or before, January 1, or $500.00 if the employee notifies on, or before, February 1. The stipend will be issued in a separate check on or before Dec. 20th, Jan. 20th or Feb. 20th respectively.
EARLY NOTIFICATION STIPEND. An eligible administrator who notifies the district prior to March 1st in writing of his/her intent to resign effective June 30 of the current year shall receive a one-time payment of $2000 paid upon separation with the district in the administrator’s last pay into a 403(b) if they meet the following qualifications: • The resignation must be effective June 30th of the current school year. • The resignation must be received in the Office of Human Resources prior to March 1st of the current school year. • The resignation must be for the purposes of retirement with ORS. Formal confirmation from ORS of a received retirement notification may be requested by the District. • The resignation must be in writing and is irrevocable. • Upon receipt of the resignation the District will place the employee’s name on the Board Report for acceptance by the Board of Education. Confidentiality of resignation cannot be guaranteed.
