Retirement Notification. In order to be eligible for benefits under Section A above, teachers must submit completed retirement forms to the Human Resources Division thirty (30) days prior to the projected retirement date. Advanced notice may not be a requirement in case of medical necessity or disability retirement. Upon death, tenured teachers shall receive this benefit regardless of years of service.
Retirement Notification. To allow for a transition period, employees are encouraged to provide 30 days or more advance written notice of retirement to his/her Department Head and the Department of Human Resources whenever possible. Not providing 30 days-notice will not have a negative impact on the employee’s ability to retire.
Retirement Notification. A teacher eligible for retirement through INPRS and BCSC, who submits an irrevocable letter of retirement by April 1 of the year they wish to retire and has used less than 9.5 days of sick/family illness or personal business leave in the last year of employment will receive a $2,500 stipend as a part of their last payment from the school corporation. These guidelines may be waived at the discretion of the Superintendent.
Retirement Notification. USD #251 certified staff members will be paid additional compensation for early notification of pending retirement. This additional reimbursement will be paid at the ending of the current contract year. Notification prior to November 1st of a contract year - $1000.00 Notification prior to February 1st of a contract year - $500.00
Retirement Notification. Any bargaining unit member who submits a letter of resignation for retirement purposes, and upon which the Board has acted to approve said letter prior to December 1st, shall receive a payment of $2,000 included in the member’s severance payment.
Retirement Notification. An employee must notify his/her Employer of the filing of an application for his/her normal retirement pension benefit at the time such application is submitted to the applicable pension fund.

Employees considering retiring from City 15 employment are required to file a written “notice of intent” to retire, ninety (90) days in 16 advance of the employee’s anticipated retirement date. A formal, written commitment to 17 retire, including a specific retirement date, must be provided not less than thirty (30) 18 days in advance of the employee’s retirement date. Such written notice shall be filed 19 with the Director of Public Safety/Police Chief and Human Resources. Any and all-time 20 limits may be waived or altered upon the approval of the City Manager, Union

Retirement Notification. On or before January 15, the District will provide each eligible employee with notice of eligibility to participate. Eligible employees who desire to participate must return their signed Separation Agreement (Appendix C), with a signed letter of resignation, to the Superintendent of Schools on or before April 1.
Retirement Notification. 1. Improve incentives/rewards for earlier notice of retirement and increase penalties/consequences for late notice. Article X, Sec.
2. For notification of retirement effective July 1: o An educator who provides notification by April 1 of the school year will receive the current formula for pay for accumulated days. An estimate of the benefit based on the days held at the point of notification will be provided, adjusted by later utilization of days or additional accumulation of days. o An educator who provides notice prior to February 15 shall be paid a premium of 5% over the amount for which s/he would be entitled if s/he provided notice of at least 90 days. o An educator who provides notice prior to December 1 of the school year in which s/he will retire will receive a maximum premium of 10%.
3. For notification of retirement effective any date (July 1 or otherwise) – In the event an educator does not provide notice within the 90-day required deadline, the following deductions will be made: o A deduction of 5% will be made for notice between 60-89 days in advance of the effective retirement date. o A deduction of 10% will be made for notice between 30-59 days in advance of the effective retirement date. o A deduction of 75% will be made for failing to provide at least 30 days notice in advance of the effective retirement date.
4. A person with extenuating circumstances may seek a waiver of the penalty if approved by the district. Such approval will not be unreasonably withheld. Significant changes in the lifestyle of an individual, such as the health of the individual or their spouse/partner or other significant family member, death or divorce or separation would be among those changes considered. Approval for waiver of the penalty shall be within the sole discretion of the Superintendent.
