Common use of Earned Increments Clause in Contracts

Earned Increments. (i) It is expressly agreed, while Schedule "A" provides a minimum and maximum salary, annual increments of all regular employees are to be earned before they are paid. The decision as to whether a salary increment has been earned shall rest with the District, based upon a recommendation of the department head, division head or section supervisor responsible for the employee's area of work.
