Educational Swap. Additional swap time may be granted for the purpose of attending an educational class. This swap time will not be charged to the previous allotted swap time and will have no limit on hours or amount. The purpose of this additional swap time is so that the employee can better himself/herself by attending classes that may be scheduled while he is on duty. The Union shall do the record keeping for educational swaps. The forms for educational swaps shall be clearly labeled “educational” with a copy going to the Chief or his/her designated representative.
