Effective Date, Purpose and Duration. 1.01 The purpose of this Agreement is to provide for payment of Pension and certain other benefits to eligible employees in the amounts, and upon fulfillment of the conditions, as herein specified. 1.02 The Company shall maintain, for the duration of this Agreement, a Pension Plan to provide the benefits herein provided. (a) This Agreement shall continue in effect until the Agreement to which it is appended, shall be terminated as herein provided. (b) Anything herein which might be construed to the contrary, notwithstanding however, it is understood that termination of this Agreement shall not have the effect of automatically terminating the Pension Plan maintained pursuant to Section 1.02 hereof.
