Eligibility for Stat. Employees shall qualify for holiday pay provided they have worked their last scheduled work day or shift immediately prior to the holiday and their first scheduled work day or shift immediately after the holiday, unless they have been excused from doing so by CAMH or, in cases of absence due to sickness or accident, confirmed by a medical certificate if requested. The Employer will not be responsible to pay for any statutory holiday payments which occur within the time period for which its insurance carrier is responsible for payment.
