Common use of Emergency Precautions Clause in Contracts

Emergency Precautions. Forest Ser- vice may require the necessary shutting down of equip- ment on portions of Contractor’s Operations, as speci- fied by the emergency fire precautions schedule of C7.22#. Under such conditions, after Contractor ceases active operations, Contractor shall release for hire by‌‌ Forest Service, if needed, Contractor’s shutdown equip- ment for fire standby on Contract Area or other areas of Contractor’s Operations and personnel for fire standby or fire patrol, when such personnel and equipment are not needed by Contractor for other fire fighting or pro- tection from fire. Equipment shall be paid for at fire fighting equipment rates common in the area or at prior agreed rates and, if Contractor requests, shall be oper- ated only by personnel approved by Contractor. Per- sonnel so hired shall be subject to direction and control by Forest Service and shall be paid by Forest Service at fire fighting rates common in the area or at prior agreed rates.‌‌‌‌‌
