Emergency PTO. One (1) shift of paid time off will be designated for use in instances of emergency situations that prohibit an employee from coming to work, and will be granted with twenty-four (24) hours notice, in the time period between January 2 and November 15 except on a holiday, before or after a holiday or before or after scheduled PTO. In order to qualify for use of Emergency PTO, the employee must provide documentation to substantiate their emergency situation no later than their next shift following the use of Emergency PTO.

Emergency PTO. Generally, PTO is to be requested at least two (2) weeks in advance. PTO may at times be requested of and approved by the manager or immediate supervisor or Charge Nurse on shorter notice for unforeseen personal and/or urgent reasons. Every reasonable effort will be made to approve such leave. Every reasonable effort will be made by the Employee to give twenty-four (24) hour notice.

  • Emergency Procedure An employee may be immediately placed on an off-duty status (without pay) by the Employer, but remain on the rolls where the allegation involves intoxication (use of drugs or alcohol), pilferage, or failure to observe safety rules and regulations, or in cases where retaining the employee on duty may result in damage to U.S. Postal Service property, loss of mail or funds, or where the employee may be injurious to self or others.
