Common use of EMPLOYEE EDUCATION LEAVE Clause in Contracts

EMPLOYEE EDUCATION LEAVE. The Employer will grant Employment Relations Education leave in accordance with the Employment Relations Act 2000 for employees party to this agreement to attend courses authorised by APEX to facilitate the employees’ education and training as employee representatives in the workplace. XXXX will send a copy of the programme for the course and the name of employees attending at least 21 consecutive days prior to the course commencing. The granting of such leave will not be unreasonably withheld taking into account continuing service needs.
