EMPLOYEE ROSTERED DAY. OFF 30.1 Payment for RDOs will include an entitlement to the daily fares and travel allowance. 30.2 Each day of leave taken and any public holiday occurring during any cycle will be regarded as a day worked for accrual purposes. 30.3 An Employee who has not worked a complete cycle will receive pro rata accrued entitlements payable for the rostered day off. 30.4 Where an Employee has insufficient accruals for an RDO, the Employer may by agreement with the affected Employee, offset any deficiency from the Employee's annual leave entitlement. 30.5 Where the Employer wants an Employee or Employees to work on an RDO, the following process shall be followed: The Employer is committed to providing as much notice as is reasonably practicable for a requirement to work. Wherever possible, the process outlined above will occur at least 7 calendar days prior to the RDO in question. 30.6 An Employee may refuse to work a RDO in circumstances where the working of such a RDO would result in the Employee working hours which are unreasonable having regard to matters including: 30.7 Where the procedure in clause 30.5 has been followed and at least 7 days’ notice has been provided to Employees to work on the RDO, Employee’s must be paid for at 200% of the rate applicable for the Employee’s classification in the Agreement, with a minimum payment for 8 hours, for that RDO. Where the procedure in clause 30.5 has not been followed or less than 7 days’ notice has been provided to Employees to work on the RDO, Employee’s must be paid at 250% of the rate applicable for the Employee’s classification in the Agreement, with a minimum payment of 8 hours, for that RDO. 30.8 In addition to the loadings listed above, Employees will be provided a day in lieu for each RDO that they are required to work. 30.9 Up to five (5) RDOs may be accrued under normal industry flexibilities. Accrued RDOs will be taken in the calendar year they were due or be transferred to the employee’s annual leave bank in the last pay period of the calendar year provided sufficient RDO hours are retained to cover the scheduled RDOs for January of the following year.
