Rostered Day Off. 24.1 An employee to whom this clause applies may accrue 0.4 of one hour (24 minutes) for each eight-hour shift worked to allow the employee to take a Rostered Day Off (RDO). For example, a shift worker to whom this clause applies and who works 19 eight-hour shifts may take the 20th shift off as an RDO.
24.2 An employee may elect to take an RDO as a whole day or part of a day by agreement with the supervisor/manager. RDO’s must be approved in advance by agreement between the employee(s) affected and the employee’s supervisor/manager, taking into account the operational requirements of the Agency.
24.3 Accrual toward an RDO does not occur when an employee is on any form of leave (including annual leave or personal leave).
24.4 RDO’s must only be taken when the equivalent time has been accrued. RDO’s will not be taken in advance.
24.5 An employee may bank a maximum of six RDO’s with the approval of the employee’s supervisor/manager.
24.6 An employee who is required to work on the employee’s scheduled RDO will be given another day off instead at a time agreed between the employee and the employee’s supervisor/manager.
Rostered Day Off. 19.1 Ordinary working hours will be scheduled in a 10-day cycle, Monday to Friday inclusive, with eight (8) ordinary working hours worked for each of nine (9) days and with 0.8 of an hour on each of those days accruing toward the tenth day, which will be known as the rostered day off (RDO).
19.2 The purpose of a RDO is to ensure the Employer manages the fatigue levels of Employees on the GCLR3 Project, enabling a safe and productive worksite. In that regard:
19.2.1 Designated industry rostered days are scheduled to be taken off by an Employee for every 12 months' continuous service in accordance with the dates set out in the building industry calendar published annually.
19.2.2 An additional 13 designated GCLR3 Project rostered days will be taken off by an Employee for every 12 months of continuous service. GCLR3 Project rostered days may be scheduled based on designation/classification types to provide for a greater work life balance for Employees without impacting operational continuity or productivity. Furthermore, without impacting operational continuity or productivity, GCLR3 Project rostered days may be scheduled to coincide with additional rostered days off.
19.3 Payment for RDOs will include an entitlement to the daily fares and travel allowance.
19.4 Each day of leave taken and any public holiday occurring during any cycle will be regarded as a day worked for accrual purposes.
19.5 An Employee who has not worked a complete cycle will receive pro rata accrued entitlements payable for the rostered day off.
Rostered Day Off. 3.5.1 Any employee who by the circumstances of the arrangement of their ordinary hours of work is entitled to a rostered day off which falls on a public holiday prescribed by this clause shall, by mutual agreement, be paid for that day seven hours thirty six minutes at ordinary rates or have an additional day added to his/her annual leave, or shall be allowed to take the day off on an alternative weekday. Provided that where in the case of a shift worker the holiday on which he is rostered off falls on a Saturday or Sunday, this provision shall not apply.
3.5.2 In the event that an employee is required to work on a rostered day off, he shall be paid at overtime rates, or may, by mutual agreement, be allowed to take an alternative day off.
Rostered Day Off. A Rostered Day Off (RDO) is a whole day (00:01 – 23:59) when a worker is not commencing or ending a shift. There is no requirement for employees to have 4 Rostered Days Off per fortnight.
Rostered Day Off. Each employee shall be allowed one (1) rostered day off each fortnight in accordance with a roster prepared by management showing days and hours of duty and special rostered days off for each employee.

(i) 152 hours are to be worked per four-week period
(ii) An employee will be rostered in advance. RDO’s must meet business objectives and therefore will be scheduled at the discretion of management.
(iii) If these days are to be changed, agreement between the employee and his/her supervisor should be at least seven days in advance.
(iv) Where practicable, only one person in an area is to be off at any one time. If this is not possible, it should be the minimum number of people possible.
(v) All RDO's will be taken as full days – no part shifts.
Rostered Day Off. Civilbuild may elect to vary the date of the monthly RDO. The RDO need not be the same day for all employees or all sites. Employees entitled to an accrued RDO may:
Rostered Day Off. 25.1 In respect of employees working a shift regulated by a roster, a rostered day off means any day, part of a day, Monday to Friday inclusive, taken off as a result of the averaging of the weekly or fortnightly number of hours rostered (as a consequence of the implementation of the thirty five hour week).
25.2 In respect of Day Workers, a rostered day off available as a result of the averaging of the weekly or fortnightly number of hours rostered (as a consequence of the implementation of the thirty-five hour week) will be taken on a Monday or Friday unless by mutual agreement.
25.3 Where a day work employee is required to work on a rostered day off the employee shall be given the option of taking another mutually agreed day off in lieu.
Rostered Day Off. In the event of an urgent situation or significant minting project Rostered Days Off (RDOs) may be deferred. Any deferred RDOs will be taken within six months of the date of deferral. Where they cannot be taken within this time the RDO will be forfeited and the time worked on the originally scheduled RDO will be paid at ordinary time.
Rostered Day Off. (a) The Company may implement a system of rostered days off (RDO) for the whole business or a section of the Company’s business by any of the following methods: i By rostering employees paid day(s) off on various days of the week in a roster cycle of three, four or eight weeks, so that each employee has one paid day off during a three or four week cycle and two paid days off during an eight week cycle; or ii By any other method that best suits the whole business or section of the business and is agreed to in writing by the Company and the majority of employees affected.
(b) If an employees rostered day off falls on a public holiday, the RDO is moved to the next working day unless another day is agreed between the Company and an employee.
(c) By agreement between the Company and an employee, up to 10 RDO’s may be banked and taken at an agreed time.
(d) An employee who fails to attend work on the working day before or after the RDO is not entitled to be paid for the RDO, without the consent of the Company or without evidence.
(e) Each day of paid leave taken (except RDO) and each public holiday occurring during a roster cycle will be regarded as a day or part-day worked in calculating the number of days worked in each cycle.
(f) The Company will pay an employee who has not accrued an RDO because the employee did not work a complete roster cycle (including because of termination of employment), a proportionate amount according to the time worked during the roster cycle.
