Employee Sick Leave Used for Family. One half of an employee's annual accumulated sick leave or up to 6 accrued days per year, whichever is longer, may be used due to the illness or injury of a child, spouse, parent, domestic partner or person in a familial relationship residing in the same household. The department head may require a physician's certificate or other evidence of illness or injury.
