Common use of Employee's Return to Work Clause in Contracts

Employee's Return to Work. An employee who is absent from work on a temporary disability leave shall notify the immediate supervisor of the intention to return to work by 4:30 p.m. on the day before returning from any absence. An employee who is absent from work on a temporary disability leave for more than thirty (30) calendar days may return after giving the District five (5) calendar days prior notice of the desire to return to work. For such absences of thirty (30) calendar days or more, the District may, at its discretion, require the employee to provide a written statement from a physician certifying the fitness of the employee to fulfill the employee's duties.
