Placement on Reemployment List. When all available leaves of absence, paid or 31 unpaid, have been exhausted and if the employee is not medically able to assume the 32 duties of his/her position, he/she shall, if not placed in another position, be placed on 33 a reemployment list for a period of thirty-nine (39) months. When cleared to return 34 to work, during the thirty-nine (39) month period, he/she shall be employed in a 35 vacant position in the classification of his/her previous assignment over all available 36 candidates, except for a reemployment list established because of lack of work or 37 lack of funds, in which case he/she shall be listed in accordance with appropriate 38 seniority requirements. If an employee's former classification has ceased to exist 39 during his/her absence, the employee shall be assigned to a vacant position in a 40 comparable classification for which he/she is qualified. An employee who has been 41 placed on such a reemployment list and who has been released for return to duty and 42 who fails to accept a position in his/her classification shall be subject to dismissal. 43

Placement on Reemployment List. The names of employees laid off shall be placed on a reemployment list in the reverse order of layoff. All employees laid off shall be placed on the reemployment list for not less than thirty-nine (39) months. Employees accepting demotion or voluntary reduction in assigned time in lieu of layoff shall be placed on the reemployment list for a total of sixty-three (63) months. Employees who take voluntary reduction in assigned time in lieu of layoff shall be, at the employee’s option, returned to a position in his/her former class or to positions with increased assigned time as vacancies become available within the sixty-three (63) months. All such employees shall be ranked on the reemployment list in accordance with their seniority.

  • Re-employment List An employee who is reduced in position, or who is laid off by reason of a reduction in force accomplished pursuant to this Section, shall automatically have his/her name placed on a re- employment list for the position which he/she formerly held. The ranking of names upon such re- employment list shall be in accordance with the employee’s length of service with the City in that position. Such re-employment lists shall have priority for a period of two (2) years over any other eligibility list for such affected position, providing, however, that employees not reinstated within six (6) months after being laid off must pass a pre-employment physical examination prior to reinstatement.

  • Placement on Salary Schedule The following rules shall be applicable in determining placement of a teacher on the appropriate salary schedule:

  • Notification of Reemployment Opening 1. Any employee who is laid off and is subsequently eligible for reemployment shall be notified in writing by the District. Such notice shall be sent, with a “Proof of Service by Mail” form, to the last address given the District by the employee.

  • Rate of Pay on Appointment from Layoff List When an individual is appointed from a layoff list to a position in the same class in which the person was previously employed, the person shall be paid at the same salary step at which such employee was being paid at the time of layoff.

  • Accrual Rate of Sick Leave With Pay Credits Full-time employees shall accrue eight (8) hours of sick leave with pay credits for each full month worked. Employees who work less than the full month but at least thirty-two (32) hours during the month shall accrue sick leave with pay on a pro rata basis for the month.
