Common use of EMPLOYEES WHO PERFORM WORK ON A STATUTORY HOLIDAY Clause in Contracts

EMPLOYEES WHO PERFORM WORK ON A STATUTORY HOLIDAY. Each employee who (a) is eligible to receive pay for a statutory holiday; (b) is scheduled by the Employer to work on such holiday and (c) does perform work on such holiday, shall receive a normal day's pay for such holiday, calculated in accordance with the formula contained in Article 13.05, and, in addition to such normal day's pay, shall be paid one and one-half (1-1/2) times his normal straight time wage rate for the first eight (8) hours he works on the statutory holiday, and shall be paid two and one-half (2-1/2) times his normal straight time wage rate for any hours he works in excess of eight (8) hours.
