EMPLOYMENT OF TEACHERS. For teachers newly hired after the effective date of the agreement, credit for salary purposes only, will be granted in accordance with state statute.For new hires, experience shall be defined as the years in which a teacher worked in an accredited preK-12 or K-12 Indiana public school or a public school in another state or territory which has a reciprocity agreement with the Indiana Teachers Retirement Fund. The teacher shall provide written verification of those years of experience at a school not participating in the Indiana Public Retirement System.
