Entitlement to Professional Leave. A bargaining unit member may be authorized to attend a professional conference (which shall not include Union or affiliated organizations sponsored activities of a non- instructional nature), as approved by the SUPERINTENDENT or his/her designee, with no loss of pay. The bargaining unit member shall submit his/her application for professional leave for a conference at least twenty (20) calendar days in advance of the event. Professional leave shall not accrue. In addition, professional leave shall not be counted against perfect attendance.
