Entry at Bar Close Sample Clauses

Entry at Bar Close. With Entry at Bar Close (EBC) checked, which is the default setting for TS, the back- testing reports will offer accurate simulation for the EBC 100% mechanical execution results. With EBC unchecked, the back-testing reports will give the simulation for the real-time TS signals, which are used for Dynamic Execution or Hybrid Execution Method (HTM). Note: The back-testing reports for real-time TS (EBC unchecked) are for reference only. This is because the TS signals with EBC unchecked are a real-time feature and the data feed vendors do not offer real-time price fluctuation information in historic data. AbleSys uses RTSA to show the accuracy of this simulation.

Entry at Bar Close. Selecting the "Entry at Bar Close" (EBC) option will give you a 100% mechanical trading system and the most conservative performance results. If you don't check this box, all the back testing results will be based on computer calculated real time triggered prices. If you check this box, bar close time is the entry/exit point for trades. In other words, the back testing results will be calculated with the bar close prices. You may check “EBC” before clicking the "$" icon (Scan TSPC). If you compare the results with EBC selected and without EBC selected, you will see what appears to be a profit advantage of using real time signals rather than EBC. It is because the real time signal back testing results only include those stable signal (signals stay at the bar close). There are certain cost associated with the trades that are triggered by the unstable signals (triggered in real time and disappeared at the bar close). Thus, the real time signal back testing results need to be discounted by this. When you use EBC execution method, the back testing results with EBC checked will simulate the execution results. When you use “Dynamic” execution method, the back testing results with EBC checked will give you the most conservative results and the back testing results with EBC unchecked will give you a relative close simulation of the “Dynamic” execution results.
