The Applicant notes that Drax Power Station is already well lit, and the future baseline is likely to reduce the extent of lighting. The reduction in lighting associated with the future baseline relates to the demolition of the FGD equipment (which are cream NYCC recommended that a night- time visual assessment be undertaken if external lighting is proposed. NYCC have requested that future lighting on the site is minimised to prevent the incremental build-up of lighting on the site and reduce adverse visual effects. NYCC confirmed that they agree with this approach.
