Common use of ES&H POLICY Clause in Contracts

ES&H POLICY. Every Subcontractor employee is entitled to a safe and healthy work environment and the Subcontractor retains responsibility for the safety of its employees. In performing work under this subcontract, the Subcontractor shall perform work safely, in a manner that ensures adequate protection for employees, the public, and the environment, and shall be accountable for the safe performance of work. The Subcontractor shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations governing the safety and health of employees and the environment. The Subcontractor shall exercise a degree of care commensurate with the work and the associated hazards. The Subcontractor shall ensure that management of ES&H functions and activities becomes an integral and visible part of the Subcontractor’s work planning and execution process.
