Providing a legal basis for community-based mangrove management is an imperative to safeguard traditional rights and ensure sustainable management in the long-term. The proposed actions include review and evaluation of existing regulations regarding community-based mangrove management; examination of community constraints to successful management, in the light of the training needs assessment; current use and ownership rights; and capacity for local enforcement; development of draft regulations on community-based mangrove management; community level discussions on draft regulations; revision of draft regulations in the light of stakeholder feedback; finalisation of regulations and submission for approval by local government.

By executing this Agreement, the Contractor agrees to open its meetings and records to the public in the manner set forth in §§12L.4 and 12L.5 of the Administrative Code. Contractor further agrees to make-good faith efforts to promote community membership on its Board of Directors in the manner set xxxxx xx §00X.0 of the Administrative Code. The Contractor acknowledges that its material failure to comply with any of the provisions of this paragraph shall constitute a material breach of this Agreement.
