Ethical Commitments. A. EMPLOYEE agrees to adhere to all ethical standards applicable to employees and officers of CITY, including but not limited to the provisions of NRS Chapter 281A.
B. EMPLOYEE shall not endorse, make financial contributions, sign or circulate petitions, or participate in fundraising activities for any individual(s) seeking or holding elected office in the CITY government. EMPLOYEE shall not seek or accept any personal enrichment or profit derived from confidential information or misuse of public time.
C. CITY shall support EMPLOYEE in keeping these commitments by refraining from any order, direction, or request that would require EMPLOYEE to violate these commitments. Specifically, neither the City Council nor any individual member thereof shall request EMPLOYEE to endorse any candidate, make any financial contribution, sign or circulate any petition, or participate in any fundraising activity for individuals seeking or holding elected office in the CITY government, nor to handle any matter of personnel on a basis other than fairness, impartiality, and merit.
D. The provisions of this Section shall not be construed to limit EMPLOYEE’s rights, in a private capacity, to vote for or against any candidate for CITY office or any ballot question affecting the CITY. Further, these provisions shall not be construed to limit EMPLOYEE’s rights, in a private capacity, to make any financial contribution, sign or circulate any petition, or participate in any fundraising activity for individuals seeking or holding elected office in government other than the CITY.

Employer shall support Employee in keeping these commitments by refraining from any order, direction or request that would require Employee to violate the ICMA Code of Ethics. Specifically, neither the governing body nor any individual member thereof shall request Employee to endorse any candidate, make any financial contribution, sign or circulate any petition, or participate in any fundraising activity for individuals seeking or holding elected office, nor to handle any matter of personnel on a basis other than fairness, impartiality and merit.

Specifically, neither the City Council nor any individual member thereof shall request Xxxxxxx to endorse any candidate, make any financial contribution, sign or circulate any petition, or participate in any fundraising activity for individuals seeking or holding elected office, nor to handle any matter of personnel on a basis other than fairness, impartiality, and merit.

The Executive Director shall not endorse candidates, make financial contributions, sign or circulated petitions, or knowingly participate in fundraising activities for individuals seeking or holding elected office in the NMCRA, nor seek or accept any persona enrichment or profit derived from confidential information, or holding office, or misuse of public time. The NMCRA shall support the Executive Director in keeping these commitments by refraining from any order, direction or request that would require the Executive Director to undertake any of the aforementioned activities. Specifically, neither the NMCRA Board nor any individual member thereof shall request the Executive Director to endorse any candidate, make any financial contribution, sign or circulate any petition, or participate in any fundraising activities for individuals seeking or holding elected office, nor to handle any matter involving personnel on a basis other than fairness, impartiality, and merit. The Executive Director voluntarily agrees to this and shall not cause provision to formulate any claim against the NMCRA whatsoever. The Executive Director acknowledges the above is in no way a restriction of his freedom of speech, and if so claimed is deemed immediately invalid.

Specifically, neither the CITY COUNCIL nor any individual member thereof shall request the CITY MANAGER to endorse any candidate, make any financial contribution, sign or circulate any petition, or participate in any fundraising activities for individuals seeking or holding elected office, nor to handle any matter involving personnel on a basis other than fairness, impartiality, and merit. Provided, however, the City Manager may attend fundraisers for issues or candidates, excluding City of South Miami issues or Mayor/Commission seats. The City shall support the City Manager in keeping these commitments by refraining from any order, direction or request that would require the City Manager to violate the ICMA Code of Ethics. Specifically, neither the governing body nor any individual member thereof, shall request the City Manager to endorse any candidate, make any financial contribution, sign or circulate any petition, or participate in any fund-raising activity for individuals seeking or holding elected office, nor to handle any matter of personnel.
Ethical Commitments. The Employer expects the Employee to adhere to the highest professional standards. The Employee’s actions will always comply with those standards. The Employee agrees to follow the Code of Ethics of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) and the ethics rules, regulations, and laws of the State of North Carolina. The ICMA Code of Ethics can be found on the ICMA website, (XXXX.xxx). Consistent with the standards outlined in the Code, the Employee shall not endorse candidates, make financial contributions, sign or circulate petitions, or participate in fundraising activities for individuals seeking or holding elected office, nor seek or accept any personal enrichment or profit derived from confidential information or misuse of public time. Employer shall support Employee in keeping these commitments by refraining from any order, direction or request that would require Employee to violate the ICMA Code of Ethics.
