Common use of Excluding Teachers Clause in Contracts

Excluding Teachers. an employee in the bargaining unit may, without prejudice to seniority and other rights under this Agreement, waive their seniority in the instance of the Employer instituting a layoff. Such waiver, if authorized by the employee, shall not be construed to be a waiver of seniority or any other right under the contract including the employee's right to be recalled from such layoff. (Appendix E is the Agreement for the individual employee who wishes to waive their seniority rights.)
