Common use of Excuse Requests Clause in Contracts

Excuse Requests. Employees called for jury duty will be expected to serve as jurors during the period for which they are summoned. However, excuse from jury duty may be requested for an employee when the absence of the employee for a prolonged period of time will have an unusually adverse effect upon the District, or when, in the opinion of the District, the nature of the employee's assignment is such that it is impossible to provide an adequate substitute.
